Orleans Rider This letter of agreement sets forth the additional terms and conditions regarding the proposed engagement with ORLEANS at _______________________________ in_________________________________ on the date ___________________________ and is hereby made part of the contract dated_________________________ between ORLEANS and___________________ (hereafter referred to as "PURCHASER")
A. ARTIST ACCOMMODATIONS: Purchaser shall provide ( 7 ) single, quality hotel rooms, for the night of the performance. Purchaser shall provide GROUND TRANSPORTATION for ( 8 ) persons, luggage, and equipment, to and from the Airport, Hotel, and Venue.
B. DRESSING ROOM AND HOSPITALITY: 1. A clean private dressing room with at least one table, mirror, adequate lighting, electrical power, seating for 8, and a lockable door. In or near the Dressing room will be a private bathroom. The dressing room will be secured by house personnel, or a key will be given to the Artist or their Road Manager. 2. Dressing Room hospitality will include: coffee, herb tea, milk, lemon, soda, juice, spring water, fruit, ICE, regular Coca Cola, and healthy snack food ( veggie platter, fruit platter, ect. ) eight (8) clean towels, condiments, napkins, cups, plates, and utensils. 3 A hot meal for (8) will be provided after the sound check, the exact time to be determined when the show is advanced. Chicken, Fish, or Pasta main course, with Vegetables and Salad are desired. Red Meat is not. A TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR ( $25.00 per person ) Cash Buyout is acceptable.
C. STAGE: 1. Minimum stage size will be 30' wide by 20' deep by 2' high. Please include a 8' X 8' centrally located DRUM RISER with black, low pile carpet, and black masking tape around the front and sides. 2. Towels, Iced Bottled Water, and a Fan, ( 12" Vornados ) shall be provided near each Member of the Band. 3. If there is a MC, the road manager will advance the show. THE BAND WILL NOT BE ANNOUNCED UNTIL THE MC HEARS FROM EITHER JOHN, LARRY, OR LANCE, THAT THEY ARE READY. Before the intro of the band, the MC will announce the merchandise location, and that the Band will AUTOGRAPH MERCHANDISE after the show.
D. Load in - Load out Please provide 1 stagehand to help remove the bands personal gear from stage after the show. ( pedals, cables, guitars, ect )
E. SOUND and LIGHTS: 1. Sound and Lights will be provided with operating technicians. The Artist may elect to have their engineer mix the House Sound. A system sufficient for the venue size is expected, with a minimum 24 ch. board. ( 32ch. preferred ) Monitor capabilities should include a 24 ch. monitor board, located at the stage, with a clear view to the performers. Six (6) discreet monitor mixes with EQ for each mix, 5 speaker wedges, and 1 large drum monitor minimum. 2. An assortment of professional microphones, 11 Direct boxes, and a full compliment of mic stands and cables shall be provided.
3. After the sound system is set up the Artist and their Engineer will have at least 1 HOUR of ONSTAGE SOUND-CHECK time before the house is opened to the public. Lighting may be focused during or after the sound-check. Exact time of sound-check will be determined in advance conversations with the Road Manager. Any change in duration of sound check, or house opening time must be cleared in advance with the Road Manager. If there is an Opening Act, their sound-check will occur after the Artist's and should be conducted as to leave settings unchanged as much as possible.
F. BACKLINE REQUIREMENTS: 1. Set of DRUMS ( as per PETER ) 22" Bass Drum w/Foot Pedal, ( 2 ) 5" X14" Snare Drums, 10" and 12" Rack Toms, 14" and 16" Floor Toms, Snare Stand, Hi-Hat Stand, 3 Cymbal Stands, K Custom Zildjian Cymbals or like quality in the following sizes:14" Hi-Hats, 16" Crash, 17" Crash, 20" Ride. OR Set of DRUMS ( as per Charlie ) Use a Premire Kit if possible.( Yamaha, DW, Pearl kits Ok, in that order ) 22" Bass Drum w/Foot Pedal, 12" and 14" Rack Toms, 16" Floor Tom, (1) 6" X 14" SNARE DRUM, (1) 12" or 13" Piccolo Snare, (2) Snare stands, Hi-Hat Stand, 3 Cymbal Stands. ( Charlie will bring his own Cymbals )
3. Acoustic Guitars w/ Straps (2) High Quality Acoustic/Electric Guitars w/onboard EQ if possible.( Taylor, Martin, Gibson, or Takamine )
4. 1 Set of LP Congas on a stand
5. Bass Amp ( Lance ) In order of preference: Eden (World Tour 800), GK (800 RB) or SWR power/pre-amps are preferred. Biamped System w/ (1) 4 x 10" and (1) 15" speaker cabinets preferred (Eden, Hartke, SWR). Ampeg SVT w/ 8-10 cab is OK
6. GUITAR AMPS ABSOLUTELY NO TWIN REVERB AMPS ABSOLUTELY NO SOLID STATE AMPS TUBE AMPS ONLY
Guitar Amp ( Larry ) - Fender Only - Deville or Deluxe W/ MASTER VOLUME CONTROL. Peavey Classic 50 is a DISTANT 2nd choice. Guitar Amp ( John ) - Either a Fender Deluxe, Deville, Mesa Boogie, or Matchless amp, with either 10" or 12" speakers. MUST BE A TUBE AMP W/ MASTER VOLUME CONTROL.

G. Settlement: 1. Balance due to be paid to Road Manager or Artist PRIOR to the SHOW 2. Balance due must be paid in with CERTIFIED CHECK, BANK CHECK, OR MONEY-ORDER made out to" HALL/HOPPEN DBA ORLEANS" or CASH 3. ALL monies are to be paid in US currency.
H. Merchandise: It is agreed that the ARTIST has the exclusive right to sell their merchandise at the site of the performance. The Purchaser shall not sell or distribute any pictures, likenesses, songbooks containing any lyrics, and/or music recorded in any form by the employed Artist, whether CDs, Cassettes, Vinyl, or MP3s, or souvenirs, programs, or books containing any of the above mentioned, without first obtaining written permission from the Artist. The Artist shall have exclusive rights to the selling of any of the above mentioned and any other tour merchandise. Any monies received from the sale of these items becomes the sole property of the ARTIST. 1. Purchaser shall provide Artist with a 6' by 30" table for sale of said merchandise, and 1 individual to sell at the Merchandise table. Table is to be located in a non-obscured area of the Venue and thus not out of sight of any patrons of the performance.
I. Billing/Advertising 1. The Artist will be billed in one of the following ways.

PURCHASER shall not commit the ARTIST to any interviews, broadcasts, or promotions without consent from the ARTIST or the Artist's representative.
